At Ty Capel, in the village of Darowen near Machynlleth, in the heart of the UNESCO recognised Dyfi Biosphere, we provide a less stressful alternative to kennels.
Whether it's for just a few hours, or several weeks, we will treat your dog as kindly as you do, loving them as our own. We'll do what they like, we'll play with them, have snuggles, take them out for walks, or just leave them to snooze, whatever they want. We are mature and experienced dog owners, and your dog is assured of our full attention.
We now accomododate just one dog to ensure they get our full attention, and ensure no mixing unfamiliar dogs. For just a few hours while you go to the cinema or have friends round for dinner, or they can stay for a few weeks while you take a cruise! Your dog can have their holiday with us.
Perhaps you wish to come to mid-Wales on holiday, but can't find anywhere that will allow dogs? We can be entirely flexible, drop off your dog in the evening, and pick him up in the morning to go out for the day, or leave him here when you visit local bird reserves that prohibit dogs.
Maybe you want to spend the day on the Mach Loop photographing the low flying antics of the RAF and USAF, or you just want a quiet evening pint (or two!) in a traditional local pub, such as the wonderful Dovey Valley Hotel. Whatever the reason, whether you're a visitor or resident, your dog is welcome to stay with us!
£25 per day/night
Rates are for single dog
IMPORTANT: Dog and human stays are booked separately.
You do not need to stay at Ty Capel Studio in order to board your dog with us. We now have a resident dog living with us. All dog boarding, whether or not they are combined with a Ty Capel Studio stay, must be discussed with us in advance.
Our home and garden has been fully assessed for dog boarding by Powys County Council, and we are formally registered with them.
We have fully comprehensive dog boarding insurance.
Our dearly loved, and much missed, Lorenzo, a Cirneco dell'Etna prince, is the reason we wanted to provide excellent home boarding.
