Our small but delightful 1st floor open plan holiday apartment first opened for the 2018 season. Occupying the entire upper floor of the old cottage, it has its own private entrance, so guests can come and go as they please. It features a standard double bed, separate shower and wash rooms, and a small kitchenette. The south facing garden overlooks the northern hills of the Pumlumon Massif in the Cambrian Mountains.

Ty Capel Studio is the first floor of what was originally the caretakers cottage for the adjoining chapel, where your hosts live on site. The studio is compact at approximately 6.5m x 4m (see plan here) but despite its small size, it provides our guests with all they need for a relaxing holiday. From the private entrance, stairs lead up to the apartment, which features the bed/sitting room, shower room, and separate WC/washroom, and a small kitchenette providing facilities for cooking breakfast and light lunches. Local mobile phone service is poor, so we provide free high-speed Wi-Fi Internet.

Near to Wales' old capital, Machynlleth, and a short walk from Glyndŵr's Way, we're ideally placed for walkers exploring southern Snowdonia or discovering the Cambrian Mountains. The Dyfi Forest has fabulous running and mountain bike trails suitable for beginners and international competitions! The spectacular coastline of the Cardigan Bay is just a half hour drive away. Borth's amazing miles of empty sands and the bustling little town of Aberdyfi are both within easy reach.

Many of our guests come to see the low flying military aircraft in the Mach Loop which featured on ITV's "Fighter Pilot" show in 2019. The cottage is not on the Mach Loop, but there are occasional low flights directly overhead.

You can relax in the garden, enjoying the incredible views with a glass of wine as the sun goes down. Our guests are also free to explore the rest of the chapel garden, which has more seating and viewing options. We have off road parking, and secure storage is available for bicycles.
